1. -Weekend Recap-

This has been quite an eventful weekend, big news and small news, tall news and short news, black news and red news, you get the picture…

For starters, I got a new job! H&M has finally come to Miami and is opening their new store on Lincoln Road this fall. I couldn’t be more excited and proud to work for this awesome company.

This week my baby sister was born! At 24, despite being an only child my entire life I now have a half sister named Nina. It’s been great going to visit her and watch her do cute baby things. It’s also really fun to pick out her clothes.

I hitched a ride on a quick daytrip to Tampa, and caught up on my reading list and enjoyed the scenery while my friends drove. It should also be noted that it was on this ride where I discovered the joys of Instagram…

On Friday night friends came over and cooked an array of delicious dishes, like Buffalo Chicken Mac-n-Cheese, Sweet Corn Casserole, and Not Your Mama’s Bread Pudding

On Saturday, I enjoyed the last of my unemployment days by playing with Brandy, reading, relaxing and also working on my Instagram habit. It went very well…

I finally tried this really cute French restaurant called Paul and had a Croque-Madame sandwich, a cappuccino, and Creme-Brulee for dessert. The decor is charming and the food quite good for being a chain restaurant. A little “fru-fru” for my taste BUT I do love French food…

Sunday was truly a lucky shopping day. A few of the gems I picked up included a new pair of J Brand jeans for $18 (retails for $176.00) at Plato’s Closet, an adorable Kate Spade wallet for $40 (retails for $95.00), as well as my favorite pair of flats from the J Crew outlet store WHICH I have been wanting to pick up forever. Luckily I waited and only paid $50 (retails for $135). My favorite kind of shopping day…

This weekend, (and every other weekend for that matter), has a lot to live up to. But I am ecstatic now that things are finally going “according to plan” after trying so hard and for so long to figure out what I want for my life. It’s a lot of work and it takes time, but until then the beauty of life is in the everyday…and as cheesy as it sounds never stop trying because sometimes, shit works out
